Bangkok - and bye Thailand

02.04.2014
Right now I'm sitting in an air plain to Delhi. I just enjoyed some Indian plane food and feel very exited about the food, people and landscape of the coming 3 weeks. I had to say goodbye to Luisa in the middle of the night to go to the airport. She will be leaving Bangkok tonight.
The last two days in Bangkok we did the usual sight seeing. Early in the morning on 30th we arrived and took a room near Khao San Road where we could check in right away and sleep for some hours. Around 10 am we left to make a temple tour. A really nice Thai gave us good tips and a really cheap Tuk-Tuk for a small tour to the Wat Intharawihan and Wat Monghut. So we just wanted to finish the round with the grand palace. But as it was a Buddhist holiday, it was closed for tourists. So we got a good Thai massage (for 180 Baht again) and went for some shopping to the MBK Centre. I could change my tablet, as Skype wasn't working right. Luisa got some electronic accessory and we left to enjoy the Khao San Road at night. On the way we watched some woman Thai boxing. In Khao San Road we could find our wanted shirts to be more like twins, but different. The next morning we could finally see the Grand Palace. It was crazy full, as on the park at the opposite of the street
has been a huge protest and the people went to some prayers in the temple. On the top of that the usual annoying tourists. Super stress, with a huge heat and no water. So after we needed a small break with some Phat Thai. Than we walked to see the laying Buddha (biggest in Thailand) at the Wat Pho temple. To tired to walk one more meter we took a bus to the Vimanmek Palace and the Ananta Samakhom throne hall. On the way I realized that we are already too late, so we just watched the outside and the way for Luisa to see the inside today. After a stop over in our hostel we went for some dinner to china town. The food on the street there was incredible expensive but it was nice to see the totally different part of Bangkok. All the smells, lights, noises and traffic in the night was a lot so we decided to go back to the known Khao San Road. Sadly I couldn't make it too long as I was tired from the day and had to get up in the middle of the night.

I enjoyed a lot of things in Thailand. Especially cold Thai tea with milk, fresh fruit shake, the safety, the beaches, islands, beaches and the quietness and relaxed way of living on the islands. There are some things I didn't liked as the two different prices, depending on your skin colour, the hard way of communication, the huge amount of tourists, the hangover from Chang beer and the "Taxi, Taxi?! Where are you going miss?" all day.
After all Thailand has nice people and places to be and having a good life. It was a good start for Asia but far not enough for my hunger oft the different  cultures and landscapes.
Hoping for Lao and Cambodia... to be continued.
