Facing the border...

12.05.2014
India brought me to a border. Mostly a physical one. But that brought me to a psychical one. I couldn´t speak to my family and friends for some time. Even if we all could relax on the boat, the trip had to change because the engine of the boat we should get for 22 hours broke. So we had to do the Munroe Island at first and separated.
Kerala Backwaters

This just gave us a few quite hours in the evening on the houseboat. The food was excellent and we even got a beer. The beds seemed like heaven after a short, highly humid night with cockroaches in one of the crapiest places in Kollam. But get a wake cause the whole floor under me start to move by the engine of the boat and the noise of it gave this day a hard start.

Backwaters in India

After a breakfast we faced 9 hours in an Indian train again. I tried to eat some cookies. My body kept them for 10 minutes. My muscles start to hurt if I walk. After the arrival in Calicut we went directly to the bus station. Before a hell trip in a public bus I could have a tea.
Summary: I need a better body condition to take this program. It´s nobody’s fault not even India´s, but all its smells, noises and people don´t help. The rubbish everywhere in it´s beautiful and largely growing nature as well as in the cities itself makes me sad and is still hard to believe and see for me.

The really positive and crazy thing is how cheap you can buy medicine. I went 3 times to a pharmacy to ask for a hand full pills and didn´t spend more than 1 € yet. In my believe, you have to be born in India or arrive and really, really love it to stick to its system and culture and way of living.
